Early Purple Orchids in Cressbrook Dale
in the Derbyshire Peak District


Ransoms (Wild Garlic) can also be seen in abundance in the Derbyshire Peak District at this time of year

In early June,The Little Grebe and Water Voles can be found on The Cromford canal in Derbyshire.


Mid-June is a good time to visit the Farne Islands
for bird photography.
A good place to stay is Seahouses and use Billy Shiel's boats.

Waddington International Airshow

Held annually over the first weekend of July at Royal Air Force Waddington, Lincoln, the RAF Waddington International Air Show is the largest of all RAF air shows, regularly attended by over 130,000 visitors. Since its inaugural year 1995, the Air Show has grown in size and popularity; the show offers a truly unforgettable day's entertainment for families and corporate guests alike.

Nottingham Goose Fair returns from

at the Forest Recreation Ground
to thrill and delight city residents and visitors.

The Autumn Air Show pays homage to this uniquely international air battle, characterised by the contrast between the highly-developed piston engine and the first generation of jet aircraft.

FOR A SPOOKTACULAR TRAM RIDE

The vintage trams will be taking visitors on spooktacular rides we stage our one night only Starlight Halloween event on Saturday 29th October, when we will stay open until 9.00pm.

Children dressed in Halloween costume will be admitted free of charge and there’ll be a Halloween atmosphere as night falls on the period street setting at the Village with ghosts, witches and skeletons hiding in the trees and a special tram decked in Halloween illuminations.
