23rd Sept 2008	ASHLEY FRANKLIN – Derby ‘Commissions and Excursions’ Well known for many years as Radio Derby’s ‘voice of the Arts’, Ashley has now established himself as an excellent professional photographer. He presents here some of his latest work, much of which was the result of professional commissions. 11th Nov 2008	ROSAMUND MACFARLANE CPAGB ‘Journeys With My Camera’ The first of three talks this season by our leading members, this is a great – and probably final – opportunity to see Rosamund’s superb images taken on travels to far flung places!. Sadly, Rosamund and husband John are about to leave the area for good. Nottingham and Notts PS will loose two excellent photographers – but we all wish them continued happiness in their new life. She runs very successful photo courses based mainly in her beloved Derbyshire.
16th Dec 2008	ROBERT FAULKNER - Worksop ‘The Magic of Mull’ A regular visitor to the Society, this time Robert swaps his multi award winning shots of trains for equally superb landscapes shot in the wonderful light of Northern of Scotland. 13th Jan 2009	A NOTTINGHAM AND NOTTS PS BIG NIGHT DAVID NOTON - Dorset This is the first of two of the Societies Big Nights this year. Tonight NNPS is proud to present one of the UK’s greatest photographers. A top professional for over twenty years, David writes regularly for several photo magazines such as Outdoor Photographer and others – and his images from across a wide range of subjects are simply outstanding. Don’t miss this. For one night only – this week we move to the RICHARD HERROD LEISURE CENTRE in CARLTON. There will be a charge (to be announced later) to non members for this event.

24th Mar 2009	PAUL ALEXANDER - Eastwood ‘Images with Impact’ Paul’s work is varied and includes everything from landscapes to people and erotica - and has appeared in exhibitions and competitions around the world. Tonight we see his favourite images from the thousands over the years. Paul pre-visualises his shots and then creates them. He’ll no doubt be sharing with us some of his twelve hundred ideas for pictures still on his ‘to do’ list!

21st Apr 2009	MIKE COWDREY – Nottingham ‘A Galaxy Far, Far Away…’ Our final ‘members talk’ of the season promises to be something really special. From the title you might think that we are in for an evening of astronomical photography. But not so. The ‘Galaxy’ comes from a major photographic award gained by Mike in America. He is one of only two in the UK to hold the award. A fitting reward for Mike’s many years of excellent and innovative photography.

05th May 2009	DR. GUY BROWN – SHEFFIELD ‘ Inside The Abbeydale Picture House’ Guy is both a superb digital technician and an excellent photographer. Tonight he not only shows us the panel of images which gained him his Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society - but also explains the technical wizardry which went into creating his High Dynamic Range pictures.
