Welcome to NNPS

Welcome to Nottingham and Notts Photographic Society (NNPS), a community club formed in 1892 to develop the art of photography in the city and surrounding areas. Steeped in history, the club caters for all standards of photographer and has a common purpose of 'Helping each other to improve our photography'.

The art of photography has many facets and the club combines presentations from speakers with internal and external competitions, and provides practical sessions and critiques to help everyone reach their potential. Affiliated to NEMPF and PAGB, the club was  Winner of the PAGB-THE GB CUP OPEN PDI - for 2022 and 2024.

Our active Season runs from September to June, and during those months we meet each Tuesday evening at the Wollaton Hall Community Centre. With  easy access and plentiful free parking, complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits and boasting a super large electronic screen, the club provides an enviable programme of speakers and guest judges together with hands on practical learning oppportunities. We start from 18.45 with a social mix of chat and catch up, and most activity begins by 19.30 and is usually finished around 21.30.

We are always keen to include new members so if you have an interest in photography at any level, you’d be most welcome to come and join us. You will be assured of a warm welcome and your guest fee of £5 will be refunded against your membership fee if you choose to join the club. The annual subs cover the season from 1st September to the end of the following August and cost just £60. Discounted Half season and Under 25s memberships are also available. There are no further weekly meeting fees to pay.
